The "second hand" is a color spectrum disc which revolves under the black outer circle. The black outer circle has cut-out numbers, and the numbers appear to change color as the under-disc revolves. The hour hand also changes color as it goes around the dial; the minute hand is white. BIG FUN, especially since I like black with bright colors! After five days I had to replace the battery; maybe it had just sat on a warehouse shelf somewhere for too long, and the battery was old. With the new battery, however, so far it's running fine. 0 of 1 people found the following review helpful Expensive, but beautiful, This review is from: Projects 8915 Unisex Chroma Laurinda Spear Watch (Watch) The watch is made with swiss parts, and the outer color wheel rotates slowly with each second, so that the outer color wheel sort of acts like the seconds hand. There isn't all that too much more to this watch which is sort of a downer... wish it had more options - like the ability to change the speed of the wheel, or at least something else. But it's just a simple pretty watch. Sort of afraid to wear it because of its expense. And normally I don't wear watches because of the nickel content of the stainless steel back plating can supposedly migrate in your body can cause health issues (like migrating to your prostate if your a man). But it was just too beautiful, so I couldn't pass it up. Wear it only very occasionally.I think the inner color wheel which shows the hour hand is fixed, not 100% sure on that though. |
